MARGAO: Maria Murena Miranda, the Headmistress of Government High School (GHS) Morpirla in Quepem, has received a prestigious invitation from President Droupadi Murmu for a home reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on Independence Day.
Miranda, a National Award recipient, was surprised by the invitation.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the Department of Post Office travelled to Morpirla to deliver the invitation in a festive manner. The Headmistress expressed her deep appreciation for the President’s gesture.
With 36 years of teaching experience, Miranda has led GHS Morpirla to achieve 100% pass percentage in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations for nine consecutive years.
