Mumbai girl accuses Ponda man of cheating

MARGAO: A girl from Virar-Mumbai has claimed that a 29-year-old boy from Ponda allegedly had sexual relations with her on the promise of marriage.

As per the girl’s version, the duo developed intimate friendship online on Go Chat applications in March 2013. Two years down the line, the girl has claimed that she is pregnant and has accused the boy of deserting her after having physical relationship with her.
She along with city-based NGO Green Goa Foundation told the media that she has now requested the Ponda police to get the boy face-to-face since he has refused to meet her or answer her calls.
“When I called him on February 10, he was rude to me saying there’s nothing between us. He had given me false promise after bringing me to his house in Goa. He has taken my undue advantage and has blocked me from Facebook, WhatApp and also from his cell phone,” she said.
Replying to a question, the victim girl said she wants the police to call him face-to-face so that she could know his intentions. “I want to know whether he intends to marry me and if not, I request the police to register a criminal case against the boy for forcefully having sexual intercourse and cheating,” she said.
Green Goa Foundation, which has taken up cudgels for the victim girl, has promised to take the matter to its logical conclusion if the Ponda police fails to act on the girl’s complaint.
