Naik elected SMC chairperson

BICHOLIM, JULY 2
Anand Naik was on Friday elected chairman of the Sanquelim Municipal Council, while Deelip Desai was elected as the deputy chairman at the elections in the municipal hall at Sanquelim.
It may be recalled that Sunita Verekar and Riyaz Shaikh had earlier tendered their resignations to the post of chairman and the deputy chairman respectively.
Following a mutual agreement, Anand Naik was elected chairman, while Deelip Desai was elected as deputy chairman.
