MARGAO: The Office of the Deputy Collector & Sub Divisional Magistrate of Salcete celebrated the National Education Day. The function was inaugurated by the Minister for Tribal Welfare Ramesh Tawadkar in the presence of MP Narendra Sawaikar, Ravindra Bhavan chairman Damu Naik, Damodar College principal Dr Prita Mallya, ADEI Francisco Fernandes and Deputy Collector Ajit Panchwadkar.
Over 170 certificates were distributed to the SC and ST students of Salcete making the Deputy Collector Salcete office the 1st to complete full coverage of caste certificate distribution to the students of Salcete schools.
Panchwadkar proudly announced 100% distribution of SC ST caste certificates to students across Salcete.
Tawadkar congratulated the office of the Dy Collector for the achievement. MP Narendra Sawaikar said, “The no fail policy is undergoing review and will likely be tabled in the next parliamentary session”. Dr Prita Mallya pushed for more value-based education.
