MARGAO: The BJP Navelim block has demanded that the party field its own candidate in the constituency for the ensuing assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference, BJP ZP member Ulhas Tuenkar said, “The booth level workers of Navelim have demanded that the BJP field its own candidate in Naveilm this election. This is a demand of the workers as we have won three out of five panchayats of Navelim in the last elections.”
“We have already informed the party that BJP field its own candidate. However, whatever the party decides on the issue, we will abide by that decision,” he said.
