PANJIM: Salcete’s Navelim Panchayat sarpanch Frank Fernandes launched an SMS notification facility recently. Henceforth, villagers submitting applications in the office for various facilities will be intimated via SMS about the status of applications received. This step will supplement the panchayat’s own website www.vpnavelim.com which was introduced in November 2014.
