Navy’s cycle expedition culminates

VASCO: An Indian Navy cycle expedition undertaken to commemorate “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” celebrations culminated on Wednesday after covering a distance of over 500 kms across Goa and Karwar in seven days. 

As per the information available, a total of 24 personnel from the Goa Naval Area took part in various legs of the expedition.

On completing the expedition, the team was received at the War Memorial of INS Gomantak, Goa by Rear Admiral Philipose G Pynumootil, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area.  During the event, the expedition team reached out to various schools including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas at Valpoi and Canacona to motivate students to select the Armed Forces as a career option.
