CANACONA: Canacona police arrested Dilli Budhathoki, 26, a Nepali, on Sunday at Ovrem near Palolem for allegedly illegally possessing 15.270 gms of charas valued at Rs 25,000.
Sources at Canacona police station said that they received a specific tip-off from an informer that Dilli Budhathoki temporarily residing at Ovrem is in illegal possession of Charas and is at Ovrem.
On the basis of the information, a police team lead by PSI Prashal Desai intercepted the accused and found 15.270 gms of a substance suspected to be charas in his possession.
The accused is arrested under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and is lodged in police lock up.
