Network for professional women launched

PANJIM: Confederation of Indian Industries launched a special initiative for women in the corporate arena across the states titled ~ Indian Women Network (IWN) which aspires to bring together women at various stages of their careers to empower, engage and enable them to rise to deliver their best through training, mentoring and the creation of an associative model so that all professional women can benefit from!

PANJIM: Confederation of Indian Industries launched a special initiative for women in the corporate arena across the states titled ~ Indian Women Network (IWN) which  aspires to bring together women at various stages of their careers to empower, engage and enable them to rise to deliver their best through training, mentoring and the creation of an associative model so that all professional women can benefit from!
The theme for the network ‘I Am The Change’ is entwined on three pillars of Engage – to support women throughout their careers by providing opportunities to hone leadership skills through coaching, mentoring and training activities etc. Empower – to support women by providing guidance regarding health, financial, second career opportunities, security aspects etc. Enable – to provide opportunities for women professionals/ students to grow personally and professionally through entrepreneurship opportunities, active involvement in community services, etc.
During the launch, CII IWN signed MoUs with few partners to cater to different areas of engagements with Healthspring as Wellness partner, Enactus India as Empowerment Partner and DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund Winvestor as Financial Advisory Partner. A lot of involvements/ activities will be initiated for the members of IWN (in association with partners).
Speaking at the launch in Mumbai, R Mukundan, Chairman, CII Western Region and Managing Director, Tata Chemicals Ltd highlighted the importance of sensitization, stating that it is important to sensitize men at the work place to create a welcome environment for women to join the work force.
Delivering the special address at the IWN Launch Zia Mody, Managing Partner, AZB & Partners emphasized on the need for women to be passionate enough with need to achieve their dreams, by being sure about their role in the society.
The idea of CII IWN is to work in the direction of how to leverage on organizations and thought leaders to benefit women in our country, said Mini Menon, Chairperson, CII Western Region, Indian Women Network.
