PARODA: Paroda sarpanch Deepak Kharangate in reply to a demand by locals to broaden and raise the existing Avadem-Paroda bridge, informed that the body objects to the same as broadening and raising the bridge shall be of no benefit to villagers as the same would be submerged during heavy rains.
Kharangate informed that the panchayat body has submitted a proposal for construction of a bridge for light vehicles on Khusawati river from Paroda bazaar to Dessai waddo-Avadem which shall be close to Paroda church and benefit locals.
Sarpanch Kharangate informed members of Paroda Civic and Consumer Forum that their demand to arrange talk by health authorities on breast feeding and nutrition would be arranged and requested the Forum to inform the panchayat body on a date to hold the same as the panchayat could then approach the authorities.
Former panch John Vaz questioned what decision the panchayat body had taken in regard to the move by government to hold panchayat election on party lines.
