PORVORIM: A new executive committee led by Avinash Misquita has taken over the reins of the Home for the Aged at Aldona, after tumultuous events in the past few weeks had brought disrepute to the institution.
The new Committee consists of Avinash Misquita (president), Rosario Fernandes (vice president), Nirmala Fernandes (secretary) and Amelia Soares (treasurer), while the executive committee members are Rachel Fernandes, Lenny Dias, Amelia Pinto and Thomas Tavares.
A new team of sisters from the Handmaids of Christ have taken over the day-to-day operation of the Home.
The team consists of Sr Angela (superior), Sr Grace, Sr Pulcheria and Sr Effie.
