Newton bags FIFFI honour award

PANJIM: Newton Azavedo bagged the FIFFI honour award as one of the most supporting retail outlet to international food category at the ‘Coca Cola Golden Spoon Award 2014’ function.  Newton’s first store was started in 1999 at Calangute with a floor area of 800 sq feet.  In 2007, the flagship store in Candolim was started with a floor space of 12000sq ft. This was the first trade store in Goa stocking a variety of imported items including chocolates, toiletries, toys, handicrafts, stationery, cigarettes and cigars from the Dominican Republic and Cuba.  It also has 1500 sq ft of space dedicated only for liquor which includes cognacs, single malt, scotch, wines, champagnes, vodkas, etc.
