PONDA: Nari Shakthi Sangatana, an NGO, working for the protection of child and women has demanded justice for rape victims within seven days.
It has also expressed concern over rising incidents of rape of children and women and their safety.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Nari Shakti President Anita Kavlekar said that all the NGOs in Ponda would hold a meeting and a rally at Kranti Maidan and would forward a memorandum on the safety of women and children to the Prime Minister.
“Our main demand would be justice to rape victims within seven days,” she said.
The rally on December 21 at Kranti Maidan Ponda at 4 pm, will be followed by a meeting .
