MARGAO: The Goa State Pollution Control Board has directed Ms Nicomet in the Cuncolim Industrial Estate to engage a reputed agency from Bangalore or Chennai to give a certificate that its land fill site is working satisfactorily and as per norms.
GSPCB Chairman Jose Manuel Norohna had a meeting with representatives of Ms Nicoment at the GSPCB office on Monday over reports that five wells in the vicinity of the land-fill site were found polluted by the Pollution Board. The three representatives representing Ms Nicomet disputed the findings of GSPCB saying their sample testing have shown pollution levels well within set parameters.
