Anjuna Police in Goa have made a significant breakthrough in the international sex trafficking case, arresting a Nigerian national named Charles Aihun (32) in Bengaluru. Aihun is alleged to have been harboring the fugitive accused Olokpa, another Nigerian involved in the sex trafficking racket, who has been evading authorities.
Charles Aihun has been remanded to police custody for five days as the investigation continues to unfold. The Anjuna Police had deployed a team to Bengaluru in their relentless pursuit of Olokpa, the third accused in the sex trafficking case.

According to Jivba Dalvi, Mapusa SDPO, the Goa Police team, in collaboration with local authorities, managed to locate Olokpa’s whereabouts on two separate occasions. However, on both occasions, Olokpa narrowly escaped capture just before the police arrived.
Dalvi explained, “On both the occasions, one Charles Aihun, a Nigerian residing in Bengaluru, was found at both the locations where the absconding accused Olokpa was staying. After verifying Charles’ mobile phone, it was discovered that he was harboring Olokpa and providing him with information about the movements of the Goa Police team in Bengaluru.”
Charles Aihun now faces charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act for his alleged involvement in aiding Olokpa’s evasion of the authorities. The police are continuing their efforts to locate and apprehend Olokpa in connection with the international sex trafficking racket.
