Nigerian held for staying illegally

PANJIM: The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested a Nigerian for allegedly illegally staying in India. Details released to the media reveal that Cyprian Emeka, 32, was living in Candolim without travel documents. The team laid a trap after a tip-off.
On instructions from FRRO SP Bosco George, the team led by PI Sudesh Velip has lodged the accused at the Detention Centre, while formalities are underway for his detention, followed by deportation.
“We are probing into his activities in Goa. As of now, we are not aware whether he has been in Goa for education, employment, business or other purposes. The information gathered so far is that he has been living in Candolim since 2015. Investigations are underway,” an officer told Herald.
