PANJIM: The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Goa Police arrested a Nigerian in Siolim for possessing narcotics substances and seized ecstasy powder and tablets worth over Rs 54 lakh.
According to the available information, the ANC team under the supervision of SP Utkrisht Prasoon, DySP Mahesh Gaonkar and PI Shitakant Nayak raided a rented premise at Bamnwado in Siolim on Sunday and caught the accused Chukwudi Johnson Ezechukwu, a Nigerian for illegally possessing 1.025 kg of ganja, 420 gms of ecstasy powder and 115 gms of ecstasy tablets. The approximate value of the seized contraband is Rs 54,52,500 in the international market.
Police have registered a case under Sections 20(b) (ii) (B) and 22(C) of NDPS Act of 1985.
