TIVIM: A second road accident was reported near the Siolim Panchayat within barely 48 hours when a 45-year-old man from Siolim died late Thursday evening.
According to Anjuna PI Paresh Naik, Shyam Dabolkar was proceeding from Siolim to Mapusa on his scooter when a motorcycle knocked him down. Locals rushed to the site and allegedly identified the motorcycle rider as one of the accused absconding in the Nigerian murder case at Parra on October 30. Police further informed that the accused ran from the scene and Dabolkar died of injuries on Friday morning.
All police stations have been alerted to nab the accused motorcycle rider and a case has been registered under Sections IPC 279, 304 and 134 A & B of Motor Vehicle Act.
It may be recalled that one more person had succumbed to injuries on Thursday, after a motorcycle and a scooter collided at the same spot.
