After hearing the arguments of Adv V D Porob on behalf of the accused and PP P Vernekar, the Sessions Court judge granted conditional bail to Sitaram alias Nadi Jagannath Gaonker (of Assagao), Runal Palyekar (of Chapora) and Gaurish Govekar (of Chapora) stating that the accused should not tamper with the prosecution witnesses, not leave the State without prior permission of the court and should attend the trial on the date fixed.
The three accused persons have been bailed out on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of a similar amount. They were indicted by Mapusa police under Sections 143, 147, 14, 341, 36, 30 r/w 149 of the Indian Penal Code.
