MAPUSA: Anjuna Police have booked nine individuals involved in two different criminal cases. In the first case, four persons allegedly attacked a security guard of a mobile tower located in Assagao while he was on duty. Police said that the incident took place at around 1.30 am when four unknown persons came and directly attacked on the security guard namely Ramdayal.
Police informed that after assaulting the guard, the four persons snatched his cell phone and ran away. Anjuna police are in search of these four persons. They have booked them under several sections of IPC. PSI Harish Vaigankar is investigating the case.
In the second case, Anjuna Police booked five persons for creating disturbance in Vagator.
According to police, on Thursday night five persons created disturbance near Talasha Restaurant by arguing with three stall owners. The five persons first argued with the stall owners which led to physical fight and one of the five ran away with a gas cylinder from one of the stalls.
The owners then reported the incident to Anjuna Police who have booked the five persons under Sections 143, 147, 427 r/w 149 IPC. Hawaldar Devanand Redkar is investigating the case.
