PANJIM: The Agassaim police have not made any breakthrough in the case, wherein four girl students were locked up in the school toilet by five masked boys last Friday and released immediately thereafter.
Police Inspector Shivram Vaigankar said they are still looking out for leads to track down the mischievous boys. “The victims have given their physical description based on which we are rounding up suspects. The villagers are also being taken into confidence to give clues,” he said.
The students, all aged nine years and classmates in Class IV were pushed in the toilet and locked from outside by two of the five unidentified teens. When the victims began banging the door loudly, one of the accused opened the latch and all fled from the spot.
The police have also not been able to find out the exact motive behind the minute-long ‘mischievous’ behaviour.
Vaigankar said efforts are on to trace and arrest the accused.
“All the police stations have been alerted and the sketches of the boys, circulated. We are also speaking to the villagers…” he said.
