PONDA: Industries and Social Welfare Minister Mahadev Naik assured that Goans would not be allowed to go hungry during the reign of BJP government in the State.
Naik was speaking after distributing sanction letters of Griha Aadhar scheme to 640 housewives at Shree Shivnath Devasthan Hall, Shiroda.
“The previous government had introduced various welfare schemes, but it did not reach the poor people. Poor women were shown fake dreams and were misguided. But by introducing the Griha Aadhar scheme, no Goan will remain hungry,” said Naik.
Panchwadi Sarpanch Kristev D’Costa, Nutan Naik and Sanjay Gawde also spoke on the occasion. Borim Sarpanch Sanjay Gaude, Chandrakant Samat, Nutan Naik, Keshav Naik, Manuel Cruz, panchas and others were present on the occasion.
