There is still no clue of the missing TV set which is a clinching evidence in the case.
What has intrigued the police is that not a single piece of ornament was snatched from Sobha’s body. The case of the “missing” TV is now forcing the police to “believe” that the killers wanted to divert the investigators’ attention and show that it was a case of robbery which led to the murder.
“The reason for the murder is indeed suspicious and we are investigating all angles. We are probing people who live in the vicinity of Sobha’s house,” said Ravindra Dessai Police Inspector Curchorem.
The Police have also searched the nearby well in futile. The police are also looking into the calls made from the close by tower location to cell phones and other numbers. The police had also taken up a combing operation of the locality but haven’t been able to make a breakthrough.
The help of Canacona Police Inspector and Quepem PI has also been sought. The DIG Vimal Anand Gupta has also visited the site and monitored the investigation.
