PONDA: MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar on Friday said former chief minister and Ponda MLA Ravi Naik’s two sons joining the BJP would have no impact on him and party’s prospects in the Ponda Taluka.
“In fact the MGP has become stronger after this political development,” said Dhavalikar, while speaking to the media persons, when asked for his reaction what would be the impact on MGP by joining of Roy and Ritesh Naik.
“Already we have seen the results of Ritesh and Roy while contesting Assembly elections against me and Vishwajeet Rane from Marcaim and Valpoi respectively,” he added.
“There will be no effect on him. I am constantly working for my voters in Marcaim Constituency. They will send me home only if I stop working for them,” he said.
“The BJP gave entry to them keeping an eye on Assembly elections but will they stay permanently with the party,” questioned Dhavalikar.
He said, “BJP is doing a good job by allowing the entry to the politicians in Ponda that are having history of changing sides.”
