CANACONA: Canacona police has registered a non-cognisable offence against a Gaondogrem resident for assaulting a woman from the same locality.
In her complaint, Loza Gaonkar, a resident of Upper Badsarem at Gaondogrim-Canacona stated the she was on her way back home from Chaudi in a bus. At about 5.30 pm on Wednesday the accused Sanjay Gad from the same locality came and sat beside her. As he was drunk, he began to lean on her, she told him to sit properly to which he started abusing her with filthy words. There was an altercation in the bus. After alighting from the bus, the accused caught hold of her hair and pushed her onto the wall of a culvert due to which she sustained head injuries.
Canacona police later registered a non-cognisable offence under sections 504 and 323 of IPC against Gad.
