PANJIM: North Goa Collector Mamu Hage inspected ongoing Smart City works and issued order diverting traffic during IRONMAN International Triathlon 70.3 event scheduled in Panjim, on Sunday.
The Collector on Thursday inspected the ongoing roads at Campal where the first Smart Road is being built and is learnt to have given instructions to clear all the debris and repair it in view of the event.
The order issued by the Collector states that there will be temporary arrangements for closure of road/diversion of vehicular traffic during IRONMAN 70.3 International Triathlon event Goa (swimming, cycling and running) in Panjim, on Sunday, from 5 am onwards till 4 pm.
The Ribandar Causeway from Ribandar Patto to Divja Circle and riverside lane of D B Marg from Divja Circle to Miramar Circle will be closed for general vehicular traffic from 3 am till end of the race.
The road from NIO Circle to Raj Bhavan main gate will be closed for vehicular traffic from 3 am to till end of race while car lane will be provided for the benefit of the residents along DB Marg from the gate of Hotel Marriott lane at Miramar.
Meanwhile, North Goa Collector Mamu Hage will participate in IRONMAN 70.3 event. She will be part of a three-member relay team comprising IAS officers, who will take part in swimming, cycling and running.
