PONDA: Amidst speculations of Congress MLA Ravi Naik switching over to BJP on Saturday, the Ponda MLA said that there is no decision yet to join the saffron party and that he would take a decision by tomorrow (Saturday).
Speaking to the media Naik said, “I have not taken any decision as yet. I will decide about the same by tomorrow”.

There were speculations that Naik would resign as Congress MLA and would join BJP on Sunday. It has been noticed that for the past six months Naik is distancing himself from all the Congress programmes which in a way has speculated that Rajesh Verenkar would likely to get charge of Ponda. Rumours have it that Rajesh may be given the Ponda ticket if Ravi leaves Congress.
Naik also avoided the recently held Congress meeting at Ponda, which was attended by top leaders P Chidambaram and Dinesh Gundu Rao.
