NSUI urges GU not to hold final year SEA of PG via physical mode

PANJIM: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) Goa unit has urged the Goa University to cancel its decision to hold the Semester End Assessment (SEA) of final year for Post Graduate students via a physical mode failing which have threatened to hold a protest on Monday.

The NSUI has warned the University to change its decision and conduct PG final year exams in online mode like other courses.

“If University doesn’t change its decision by coming Monday, then NSUI Goa unit will be forced to come on the street and will gherao the Vice Chancellor and Registrar,” said NSUI Chief Naushad Chowdhari.

He said that the NSUI along with the PG students are against the conduct of offline exams, which will put students at COVID-19 risk.

Chowdhari pointed out how few students have lost one of their parents due to COVID-19, while some even tested positive or are taking care of their infected parents, etc.
