October rains more than the average

PANJIM: The monsoons may be officially over, but the rains have not stopped. The Meteorological Department centre in Altinho has registered a 36.9 mm of rainfall since the beginning of October, a departure from the normal 31.8 mm of rainfall, thus registering a 16 percent positive departure from the normal.
The centre has also been forecasting rain and thundershowers at several places in the State.
The temperatures for the next couple of days will range from 24 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees C. The department has also issued a forecast for the next few days of partly cloudy sky with chances of rain or thundershowers occurring at most places.
The maximum temperature registered in the past 24 hours was 31 degrees C while the minimum registered was at 24.3 degrees C.
