Odisha native held with drugs

MAPUSA: Mapusa police on Tuesday arrested an Odisha native identified as Biyanti Ganthiratna Mali (29) for illegally possessing narcotic substance suspected to be ganja worth Rs 3 lakh. 

According to Mapusa Police Station Police Inspector Tushar Lotlikar, a team acting on the information apprehended the alleged accused person in possession of ganja weighing 3.010 kgs worth Rs 3 lakh, which was later seized  in the panchanama and taken into custody. Police have registered an offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act.

Further investigation is in progress under SDPO Gajanan Prabhudessai and Superintendent of Police, North Goa Shobit Saxena.
