ARPORA: The Anjuna police arrested Himansu Jen, a native of Odisha, with drugs worth Rs 85,000 near Castelinho’s guest house at Sorranto wado, Anjuna on Wednesday.
The alleged accused is 39-years-old and is currently residing at Morjim, Pernem. During the search of the Honda scooter belonging to the accused, the raiding team found 862 grams of narcotic drugs suspected to be ganja.
The drugs along with other exhibits were seized under search panchanama. An offence under section 20(b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act has been registered. PSI Remedios D’Souza is investigating the case under the supervision of Anjuna PI Navlesh Dessai.
