Recently, there was an issue, one morning where one ferry had stopped midway in the river, due to a mechanical issue and had drifted away. Another ferry had to be used to help bring it back to the ramp.

Earlier, locals were also complaining about how with just two ferries in operation they had to wait for a long time and in long queues.  They had asked the State government and RND Minister Milind Naik to look into the issue.

Thereafter, Cumbarjua Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Member Siddesh Naik intervened and said he had spoken to Naik, following which the third ferry had started. He thanked the minister for the prompt action.
