SIOLIM: An old house owned by Laxman Mukund Dhargalkar, 65, at Gholan, Siolim collapsed due to incessant rains on Thursday night. The incident took place when all the family members were fast asleep but had a lucky escape. The loss is estimated to be around 50,000 rupees.
Meanwhile, the owner has appealed to people to come forward with financial help as two of the family members are specially-abled while only one person is an earning member.
