BICHOLIM: One Amarish Naik, resident of Ladfe-Bicholim drowned due to drowning after he accidentally fell into a lake, on Wednesday late night.
According to available information, the deceased had gone to sleep near the bank of a lake situated near Mahadev Temple, Ladfe in Bicholim Taluka.

On Thursday morning, the locals spotted a body floating in the lake. After retrieving it was identified to be that of Amarish.
Later, PSI Deepesh Shetkar attached to Bicholim Police Station conducted the punchnama and sent the body to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for post mortem. It is believed that the deceased must have died due to drowning after accidentally falling into the lake while he was fast asleep.
