MARGAO: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao on Thursday granted conditional bail to one Mohamed Ikbal accused in an alleged assault case.

Maina-Curtorim Police based on a complaint lodged by Yehiya Pathan, resident of Rumdamol-Davorlim, registered an offence under Section 341, 504, 326 of Indian Penal Code against accused Mohamed and lodged him in judicial custody.
“On Wednesday, opposite one pan shop at Rumdamol, alleged accused Mohamed wrongfully restrained me while proceeding to my residence on a scooter and assaulted me with an iron pipe thereby causing serious injuries,” Pathan stated in his complaint.
However, Mohamed moved a bail application before the JMFC Margao and pleaded for a conditional bail.
