One held for stealing gold and cash from Anjuna villa

PANJIM: The Anjuna Police have arrested a 34-year-old man from Assam for allegedly stealing gold ornaments and cash all worth approximately Rs 65,000 from a villa.

According to police, Shashank Shekhar Jha, resident of Delhi, lodged a complaint that on December 6, the alleged accused Deep Jyoti Nath entered the ‘Umravi Villa’ at Anjuna and allegedly stole a gold ring amounting to Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000.

The Anjuna Police has registered an FIR and the case is being investigated by head constable Vishal Gawas.
