One killed, 2 hurt in Vasco mishaps

An unknown person died, while two women were injured in two separate accidents in Vasco on Sunday evening.
In the first accident reported along the NH-17B near Shantinagar at about 8.30 pm, an unknown worker died, after a speeding van knocked him down while he was crossing the road along with his two other friends.
The van driver abandoned his van and fled away from the site. The worker was declared dead immediately upon his admission in GMC Hospital in Bambolim, informed Vasco Police.
In the second accident reported along the NH-17B near INS Hansa gate near Dabolim airport, two women sustained injuries, after their scooter collided against a car.
Both the women were proceeding on their Dio scooter towards Verna, while Maruti Zen car was crossing near INS Hansa crossing, when the accident occurred.
The victims have been identified as one minor girl from Mundvel-Vasco, while the other was Rosali Beck (24) from Panjim, informed Vasco Police.
Police further informed that one of the women was shifted to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, while the other woman was refereed at Chicalim Cottage Hospital.
Vasco Police has registered a case of accident and is investigating the case.
