PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has decided to conduct practical exams through online or viva of those Class X students, who failed to appear for the same, earlier, for some reason.
The Board has released Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for tabulation of Class X results 2021. The Class X board exams stands cancelled in view of ongoing COVID pandemic and the Board has decided to promote the students based on the internal assessment of marks done by the schools.
The Board has further said that if the subject offered in Class X was not offered in Class IX then average marks of similar subject or average of grand total should be considered as performance of Class IX, which is also being considered while tabulating marks of Class X students.
GBSHSE said that the regular candidates offering only two languages in Class IX then average of the two languages to be considered as marks for third language in class X as performance of Class IX.
For mathematics, both Level I and II marks will be added and compared with Level I reference average.
The Board has specified that if CWSN (children with special need) referring average is not available then marks to be standardised based on their performance viz-viz the performance of other candidates in the class.
Board has given opportunity for the students, who have withdrawn the applications from appearing for the Board exams, are eligible for supplementary examination.
