In a dramatic statement, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, some outside forces are working to shut down the tourism business in Goa. Earlier similar powers shut down the mining business and we all know how the state suffered, he added. Giving a Christmas message of amity and brotherhood which prevails among Goans, he said there would be no communal disturbances in Goa as in the past and things like uniform civil code existed only in Goa.
CM Sawant said Goa should ascertain its position as the tourism capital of India. We do not want tourists to create trouble for Goans. We only want quality tourists, he asserted.
