MARGAO: “Hindus, Muslims and Christians live in harmony in the State and it is symbol of social and religious unity. Women handle any responsibility with full strength. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan of women empowerment and he needs to be supported,” said Pallavi Dempo, BJP South Goa candidate.
Pallavi campaigned in Benaulim and Curtorim Assembly constituencies on Friday. Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, former Minister Vinay Tendulkar, former MLA Damu Naik, South Goa ZP Adhyaksh Suvarna Tendulkar, Swapnil Bandodkar, Deepak Naik and others were present on the occasion.
Pallavi expressed the confidence that with everyone’s blessings, BJP candidates will be elected from both the seats in Goa and will contribute to the fulfillment of the dream of a developed India.
In a meeting with the party workers at Colva, Pallavi said that her childhood and education also happened in South Goa. The people of South Goa are still getting this love. With the blessings and cooperation of the people, the lotus will bloom in both Parliametary constituencies.
“Women have a lot of strength, be it a housewife or a job holder, she handles all the responsibilities properly. Women are leaders in all fields and Bharatiya Janata Party respects and honours women. Various schemes for women have been implemented by both – Central and State BJP governments. Infrastructure Development works in the State are on track and several welfare schemes have been implemented,” Pallavi said, adding that the BJP will win both the seats on the strength of these development works.
MLA Kamat said, “Pallavi Dempo is from Margao, and she also got her education there. After marriage, she has gone to her grandmother. However, umbilical cord is with South Goa. This election is the election of the country. India’s image abroad has been transformed by Prime Minister Modi. In 2047, India is going to become Vishwaguru. The economy of the country is ranked fifth in the world and aims to bring it to the third position soon. This Lok Sabha election will decide who will rule the country for the next five years.”
So it is necessary for voters to consider this and support BJP. The voters of South Goa have an opportunity to create history by electing the first woman MP, he said.
