PANJIM: Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Altinho, Panjim has constituted a committee to deal with applications by political parties and organizations for certification of any advertisement to be inserted in a television channel or cable network during the conduct of general election to the Lok Sabha.
The Joint Chief Electoral Officer is the Chairperson, of the Committee. The members are additional collector-II (North) and station director, Doordarshan Kendra, Altinho.
The committee will entertain applications for certification for advertisement on television channel and cable network submitted by all registered political parties having their headquarters in Goa and all organizations or group of persons or associations having their registered office in Goa.
The committee will also look into references regarding paid news and advertisements on TV channels/cable network owned by political parties or their functionaries/office bearers.
