PANJIM: The House Committee will table its report on the police-drug mafia nexus during the ongoing
Budget session of Assembly before April 15.
Legislator Francisco alias Mickky Pacheco, who is heading the committee, said the draft report of the
meticulously investigated case, will be submitted to the members of the committee for scrutiny before
tabling it in the House.
“We have found some links of some people. It is confidential and yet to be tabled in the House,” he said
refusing to disclose details.
Sources confirmed the report will run into 25,000 pages.
The committee was formed during the 2012 monsoon session of the Assembly after several legislators
sought explanation on the reported role of Roy, son of former home minister Ravi Naik in drug trade.
It was to submit its report by 2012 December-end.
Lucky Farmhouse, former girlfriend of Israeli Yaniv Benaim alias Atala who exposed his links with the
politicians and Goa police, named Roy in her deposition to the local investigating agencies through
Interpol.
Her deposition to the CBI stated that Roy would meet her former boyfriend and Israeli drug dealer Yaniv
Benaim alias Atala for drugs and money.
Roy’s involvement was alleged by two foreign women – Lucky and Fiona MacKeown, mother of British
teenager Scarlet Eden Keeling, whose was found dead on the shores of Anjuna beach in February
2008.
Roy has been denying allegations while also questioning the existence of Lucky.
