PANJIM: A team of Panjim Police busted a bike theft racket with the arrest of two youth hailing from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. A juvenile, who is also an active member of the criminal gang, has been apprehended.
Manikankand and Dhanskheer, both aged 24 years and natives of Tamil Nadu and Kerala respectively were caught following a meticulous planning and coordination. The juvenile, also apprehended for the offence has been sent to Apna Ghar.
The police also recovered three motorbikes including two Royal Enfield Bullets and a Pulsar motorbike, all having TN and KL registration from their possession, the value of which is estimated at Rs 5 lakh approx. The Panjim Police team has contacted their counterparts in the two States in connection with the offence.
An FIR under Sections 379 (theft) and 34 (common intention) of IPC is registered against the accused. They will be produced before the local court for police remand.
