Panjim Smart City projects bag contracts worth Rs 59 cr

PANJIM: Contracts worth Rs 59 crore have been awarded to Panjim Smart City projects by the Central government. 

This was revealed by the AMRUT, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, that had shared information about contracts awarded to Smart Cities in various States on Thursday. Under IPSCDL, the capital city of Goa is the only Smart City in the State.

“Seven projects have been completed in Goa. 400 new tap water connections have been provided to the citizens of Goa to ensure the access of clean drinking water. 3,521 new sewer connections have been grounded in Goa, to provide better sanitation facilities and hygiene. 85 new water generating pumps have been planted in Goa. 20,000 old streetlights have been replaced with new LED lights in Goa,” said AMRUT.
