MARGAO: Agitated parents on Saturday gheraoed St Joseph’s Educational Institute Chandor Headmistress Perci Fernandes protesting against the school demanding that their children return to school only after selling the Christmas Hamper lotteries given to the children.
“We are sending our children to the school to study and not to beg,” said one agitated mother who was infuriated because children went to the shops near the school and begged the shop owners to buy the lotteries.
However, Headmistress Perci Fernandes clarified that the Christmas Hamper was a project of PTA an School Manager, in which she had no role to play.
