PONDA: The parish council of the church-run school in Ponda taluka has strongly protested against the arrest of a supervisor, in connection with the sexual assault on a four-year-old child.The executive committee met in the church office to discuss the claim that the child had been sexually assaulted by the accused, Vinod Mascarenhas, in the school garden.
In a press note, the executive committee claimed that such an incident could not have taken place in the church-run school or even in the school campus.

The committee also maintained that Mascarenhas was not even present in the school at time of the alleged incident as he had been sent to the bank.
