Parrikar is Goa’s Super CM: Digvijay

PANJIM: Hours after the National Investigating Agency (NIA) granted a clean chit to Pakistan in the Pathankot terror attack, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) slammed Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for being “Super Chief Minister of Goa” rather than the Defence Minister of India.
“Parrikar is hardly the Defence Minister. He is super chief minister of Goa. He is more interested in State affairs than national security,” AICC general secretary and Goa desk in charge Digvijay Singh told media persons on Friday.
Singh was in Goa on the occasion of the release of the book ‘Public Matters’ penned by former Union Minister Eduardo Faleiro, which is a compilation of his speeches in the Assembly and Parliament.
Singh pointed out that if the terrorists were not from Pakistan then where were they from?  “Government of India needs to come clear on this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Security Advisor need to answer,” he said.
He said the NIA clean chit is a complete failure of Indian diplomacy and internal security of the country.
Responding to another question, Singh said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came to Goa with talk of fake development he has undertaken in Delhi. “The fact is infrastructure is at a grinding halt,” he alleged.
The AICC leader alleged that Aam Aadmi Party’s publicity funds have increased seven times in just two years. “Kejriwal is using public money to build his own image,” he commented.
