VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council clearly told the vegetable vendors from market to pay their pending dues within the next fifteen days.
“We will think about demarcating one meter area in front of the shops later. The troubles faced by the sellers will be resolved gradually,” said MMC Chairperson Leo Rodrigues.
The vendors, upset over the action against encroachments by the civic body, had met the chairperson and councillors to discuss their grievances which is when many of them were reminded of their pending rents.
They also proposed building a washroom and installing CCTVs which councillors said will be pondered upon.
