PORVORIM: A pedestrian from Kailasnagar-Assanora died after he was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle at Assanora on Sunday.
According to Mapusa Police, Ashok Pandare, Head Constable attached to Mapusa Police station, complained that accused Gautam Naik of Kelwada-Pirna was speeding on his motorcycle (GA-03-Q-1965) from Assanora to Mapusa when he dashed against Mahesh Sakte near Gajanan Jewellery, Assanora. Police further informed that Sakte succumbed to injuries at District Hospital Mapusa.
The accused was arrested and later released on bail. Mapusa Police is investigating the case.
