MAPUSA: Calangute police arrested one more pimp and rescued a girl pushed into sex work.
Calangute police on Friday arrested Rahul Chavan, aged 22, a native of Mumbai and rescued a girl, aged 24, from Maharashtra, based on the information extracted from previously arrested accused persons during interrogation.
The victim girl has been lodged in Protective Home, Merces for safe custody. Calangute police have also attached a scooter and seized cash of Rs 50,000.
PI Jivba Dalvi is conducting further investigation in the case.
